ACADEMIC EXCELLENCE

What to expect at PHA

  • Classes available for grades 1-12

  • 3 days a week (Tues-Thurs), 4 hours per day of classroom instruction

  • Each day begins with a full school gathering for the Pledge of Allegiance and a spiritual devotional that engenders an environment of respect and fellowship 

  • Core subjects taught: Language Arts, Math, History & Social Studies, and Science

  • We teach the core subjects leaving you free to focus on the fun extra curriculars- perfect for those families new to homeschool

  • Small classes, divided by grade, age and/or academic need

  • Some grades combined in some subjects for larger group learning

  • Student placement based on ability

  • Occasional class field trips

  • Creative activities and labs that reinforce classroom instruction

  • Monthly fun "crazy days" like Super Hero Day, Crazy Hair Day, Backwards Day, etc.

  • Fun Halloween, Christmas and Valentine's Day parties for the whole school

  • Dress code: no words/pictures on clothes, no shorts, no tank tops, no holes in clothes and no hats, On Tuesdays: button up shirts with ties for boys and knee-length sleeved dresses or skirts for girls.

  • Elementary grades: emphasis on phonics, great civilizations and people, traditional math, and basic science concepts

  • Middle school/ High school: University-style learning ranging from Shakespeare and Biology to Pre-Calculus and beyond

  • Homework load similar to or heavier than public school which reinforces limited classroom instruction time

  • Pioneer Heritage Academy is not sponsored or affiliated with any specific church or religion. However, we promote Christian values and standards as taught by the Bible and The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Families of all faiths are welcome.
